In a White House Press Briefing, Press Secretary Sean Spicer was asked about the Trump Administration’s stance on marijuana. The Press Secretary stated that President Trump believes that medical marijuana has a real purpose in society. Spicer went on further to state that he believed that states should expect to see greater enforcement on the federal level for recreational usage.
Eight states and the District of Columbia all have legalized recreational use of cannabis. Marijuana is still illegal on the federal level and classified a Schedule I drug which places it in the same category as Heroin and LSD.
