Harvard Law Review Elects First Black Woman as President

The Harvard Law Review has elected ImeIme Umana, its first black woman, as president of the editorial board in its 130 year history. The last woman was elected 41 years prior and the first black man, Barack Obama, was elected 27 years ago. It is considered the most prestigious position at the law school and it is believed that being president of the review opens any door within the legal world upon graduation.
