Newest Draft of Immigration Order Removes Iraq

The latest draft of President Trump’s immigration order removes Iraq from the list of banned countries. The change follows pressure from the Pentagon and State Department to consider the role the Iraqi Forces have played in fighting IS (12).
The six other countries on the initial list of banned nations remain excluded from entering the country for 60 days. The order also includes a general 120 day ban on all refugees, replacing the indefinite ban on Syrian refugees. Newest Draft of Immigration Order Removes Iraq
