Strike in French Guiana Over High Crime & Cost of Living

Thirty labor unions in French Guiana have launched a strike that has caused schools and businesses to shut in parts of the nation. The strike has capped off a month of unrest, a cancelled rocket launch, and cancelled flights. Residents of French Guiana claim that they are often overlooked by the French government and they require government funds to help the country. The population of French Guiana is over 250,000 and it has been a colony of France since the 17th century.
