On Sunday, two teenage girls were told they could not board a flight with United Airlines because they were wearing leggings. The scene unfolded in front of other passengers who posted to social media sites, like Twitter, to report on what was happening. The two girls themselves have not made an official complaint. United has been standing by their staff’s decision and stated that, had the teens been paying customers, they would not have been turned away based on their clothing. The two were traveling under a special pass, which United says, is linked with a stricter dress code.
