Mike Pence Used Private Email While Governor And It Was Hacked

While governor of Indiana, Vice President Mike Pence used a private AOL email account while conducting official government business. This was found per an investigation from the Indianapolis Star. The Indianapolis Star’s investigation shows, Pence discussed topics including the state’s response to terrorist attacks across the globe and the FBI’s arrest of suspected terrorists.
Pence was one of many Republicans who publicly admonished Secretary Clinton for her use of a private email server. An issue cited was the lack of public record for Secretary Clinton’s emails, which would normally be recorded if using a government server. Pence had the same issue, and hired outside counsel when departing his office to review his AOL emails and transfer any involving public business to the state. Pence’s office is leaning on  the distinctions that he conducted official business using an AOL email account, whereas Clinton conducted official business using a private server. This practice is not anymore secure.
