The Army confirmed Monday that a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crashed at approximately 1:37 PM (ET), killing one crew member and injuring two others. The military helicopter crashed unexpectedly at Breton Bay Golf Course in Maryland, which is about 60 miles from Washington DC. The cause of the crash is not immediately available but the Army Combat Readiness Center will send a team to conduct an investigation. There were several witnesses to the falling helicopter, both on the course and in the surrounding residential areas.
The identities of the crew members have not yet been released.
