Blackwater founder, Erik Prince appears to have represented Donald Trump at an overseas meeting with Russian officials organized by the United Arab Emirates in early January. The information comes from two intelligence sources familiar with the matter. US officials and the FBI have been scrutinizing the meeting as part of a broader probe into Russian interference in the 2016 Election.
The meeting took place around January 11, 2017, on the Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean. It is reported that the meeting was about Russia curtailing its relationship with Iran and Syria. Prince did not play an official role in the Trump transition team but according to current and former US officials, internal communications made it appear as though he was functioning as an outside advisor.
