Eurozone Deal to Fund Greece Not Yet Successful

Eurozone finance ministers have failed to agree on a debt relief plan for Greece. The agreement needs to be reached in order for Greece to gain access to funds to repay loans that are due in July. The Greek parliament had approved new pension cuts and increased taxes as part of an agreement to obtain the funding. There are still several laws that need to be passed in order to reach compliance for the new round of funding.
Germany and the Netherlands have indicated they will not lend Greece more money without the participation of the IMF. The IMF however, made more debt relief a condition for taking part in the upcoming third funding round.
