Eight people were wounded on Sunday in a shooting in front of a mosque in Avignon, France. According to initial accounts, at least two men got out of a car around 10:30 pm local time near the mosque and opened fire. Witness accounts say there were four hooded men in the car at the time of the attack.
Four of the wounded were outside of the mosque and the other four were wounded by shrapnel while in their apartment. Police suspect the incident is related to a dispute between youths and not a terrorism incident. Authorities believe the mosque was not targeted and the location of the shooting was coincidental.Source: Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle, India Times, The Guardian
